HALF WAY DONE!!! The last of the concrete on the South side of Main Street was poured today. Tomorrow, the diamond scouring pattern will be cut, powerwashed, and pavement patching will take place. Not much to report today other than we are getting closer to our goal of having all the concrete done on the south side of Main Street done by Labor Day Weekend. The last bit is being formed and poured today and tomorrow by the Home Towne Hardware parking lot. Read More
The driveway to Home Towne Hardware is being done today. If all goes well, the drive should be fully accessible from Main Street by this weekend. This also means that the last of the concrete sidewalk on that entire side of the street is nearing completion. It is still expected that by Labor Day Weekend, the entire side of the street will be completely done with all new sidewalks. You also notice up town in Block 2 & 3 some changes to the crosswalks. The lines have been shifted and that is due to better handicap access to the new sidwalks. Read More
Work in Block 4 continues with pouring of more concrete at the corners of Church and Main St as well as in front Home Towne Hardware. Last week an old drainage pipe was discoverd at the end of Block 4 and it is in the process of being repaired. Once that is finished, the last of the concrete can be poured. Read More
Curbing on the corner of Church and Main St will be poured today as well as additional sidewalk will be poured in Block 4 by Home Towne Hardware. In Block 3, they have powerewashed the sidewalks and buildings and will be spraying the protective sealant. The electrical contractor is on-site and is building out the frames for the cabinets that will power the new lights. They are also running the wire to all of the stations where the new lamp poles will be. Read More
Finishing continues on Block 3 as the demolition continues on to the corner of Plane and Main St in Block 4. Concrete has already started to be poured in Block 4 and the remaining electrical conduit trench is being dug. Read More
Diamond scoring is being cut into the sidewalks in Block 3 while demo work continues down past Home Towne Hardware in Block 4. Concrete sidewalk is being poured along the side of Stella Gs and the forms have been laid in block 4 for pouring of sidewalks. Read More
