Heirloom Discovery Day - 4 p.m. October 13, 2012

The Office of Alumni Relations at Centenary College will host an Heirloom Discovery Day/Antique Road Show event at 4 p.m. October 13, 2012, in the President's Circle Room in the David and Carol Lackland Center. The event is part of the College's annual Homecoming and Alumni Weekend. It is free and open to the public.

Well-known TV and radio show antique appraiser Brian Kathenes, co-host of Public Radio's "Value This! With Brian and Leon" will share his antiques and collectible knowledge at this public event. Kathenes is also an on-air appraiser for Discovery Channel's TV show: "POP NATION - America's Coolest Stuff." He is a representative of National Appraisal Consultants, L.L.C., and WNTI's "Value This! With Brian and Leon." The public is invited to attend this live, radio-show-style event and to bring along one item to be valued by the experts.

Items that members of the public can bring to be discussed in the session include coins, stamps, sports memorabilia and rare books.
