On behalf of the Hackettstown Police Department, Lowe’s of Hackettstown, and Mars Chocolate North America and NEWS12 NJ, we would like to invite your organization to attend the 4th Annual Hackettstown Community Day. This year’s event will take place Saturday October 2, 2010 from 12-5pm.
As in past years, the event will be held in the Lowe’s parking lot at 217 Mountain Avenue in Hackettstown, NJ. Last year’s event was a huge success with approximately 4,500 people attending. We are hoping to make this year’s event even larger with non-profit organizations, local businesses, groups, displays, food and free giveaways.
Everything at Community Day is free to the public. There is live music and entertainment and WRNJ broadcasted live from the event courtesy of Mars Chocolate North America. Tramontin Harley Davidson/Honda sponsored a Moon Bounce and lots of games and prizes.
Community Day is geared toward public awareness of the various non-profit agencies and the services they offer. It is also a showcase for local merchants and businesses. Last year we sent out over 7,000 flyers to local schools, senior centers and the general public. WRNJ, NEWS12 NJ and Local papers advertised the event. Lowe’s, along with Mars Chocolate North America, NEWS12 NJ, local businesses and Centenary College donated food, beverages and or prizes.

We are always looking for any entertainers, clowns, face painters, musicians, etc who would like to donate their time. Due to the interest in the event, space is limited and tables will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. There is no charge for anyone wishing to participate in the event.
