Beginning Oct 22nd, United Ways Community Call to Action Volunteer Program is partnering with the youth at Trinity Uited Methodist Church and the Hackettstown BID in collecting non-perishable food items at various Hackettstown BID business locations.
United Way of Warren County is pleased to announce the Community Call to Action Grant of $5,000 to Trinity United Methodist Church (TUMC), Hackettstown, NJ. The grant will be utilized for the relocation of the food pantry storage area to a larger and handicapped accessible space.
Why are we doing this? For the month of September the TUMC Lord's Pantry served a total of 702 people: 278 children, 398 adults, 26 seniors.
It's simple - food pantry boxes are located at the following locations: DiMaio Brothers Pizzeria, 105 Main Street Kathy's Kove, 116 Main Street Domino's Pizza, 127 Main Street Cozy Corner Deli & Grille, 127B Main Street Hackettstown Pet Supplies, 141 Main Street Marty's Reliable Cycle, 160 Main Street Jack's Scissor Wiz, 170 Main Street Party Time Party Supply, 173 Main Street Hackettstown BID office, 207 Main Street Main Street Ice Cream (Cliff's Ice Cream), 205 Main St Mama's & Café Baci, 260 Mountain Avenue
While you are frequenting the local merchants or just driving by, drop non- perishable food items off and on a weekly basis the student leaders will pick up and deliver the donations to the food pantry.
Thank you for supporting the TUMC Youth and our local merchants by participating in the community food drive. The need for nutritious food is never ending. The food drive will run through the end of the year.
