2008 STREET FAIRby BID Director on September 8, 2008 at 2:15 pm This Sunday, September 14th, the Hackettstown BID is please to announce that the Hackettstown Street Fair... is BACK!!! Last year around this time the BID was hosting its first ever Street Fair. It was a huge success that brought over 12,000 people to the town of Hackettstown. I thought long and hard about whether this was worth doing again. The thought process was so long that it was a whole two minutes after the end of last year's show that I signed the contract to have the Street Fair come back. Its a no brainer, the Street Fair was amazing. The show will run from 11am - 5pm, and Main Street will be closed from High Street to Plane Street (from 7 am to 7 pm) in order to accommodate more than 100 vendors, crafters, and musicians offering a full day of food, entertainment, and fun right in the middle of town. Planned and staged by StreetFairs.org, a company specializing in this type of outdoor event, our own Street Fair will also feature WRNJ Oldies 1510 spinning music all afternoon. Parking will be free throughout town and make sure to take some time and visit all of our business district. Many of the businesses will be staying open on Sunday and having specials and sales. This is truly one of the biggest yearly events in town. I invite you to join me and everyone else who will enjoy our second annual Street Fair this Sunday.
