Hackettstown "GO GREEN" Eventby BID Staff on March 11, 2008 at 12:24 pm Earth Day is just around the corner and the Hackettstown Business Improvement District (BID), Centenary College, and the Town of Hackettstown are encouraging businesses to "GO GREEN" from April 20th to April 23rd, in an effort to promote environment awareness. All of us can do more to help our environment. You can begin to recycle or buy a hybrid vehicle as your business car or truck. Buying biodegradable products for your restaurant or store is a great way to "go green" as well. Using energy saving appliances marked with an energy star rating or using compact fluorescent light bulbs is another great way to "GO GREEN." The BID will be running a program in which interested businesses can buy "Hackettstown GoGreen Tote," which are reusable, cloth like bags at $1.00 each to sell in their store. The minimum purchase for the businesses is 50 and the suggested retail price to the customer is $2.00 each. SPONSORSHIP To be a sponsor on the bag it will cost $125.00 per spot (business card size) and the participating business will also get 20 bags for free. Sponsors can then offer a 10% discount, where applicable, when the bag is used. There are currently 1,000 bags on order. For more information or to be apart of the "Hackettstown GoGreen Tote" discount program contact the BID office at (908) 850-5004... ASAP.
