Hackettstown Fiesta

The Hackettstown Fiesta this year is Saturday May 3, 2008 from 11am-6pm. We are encouraging everyone to come join in on the sidewalk sales, live entertainment, and other events throughout the day all over the business district.

CLICK HERE FOR A COPY OF THE SCAVENGER HUNT SHEET - Here is a chance to get a sneak peak at what the scavenger hunt list will entail...feel free to print it out and bring it with you this Saturday. You'll be asked to go around during the Fiesta and get each item on the list stamped by the corresponding business. GOOD LUCK... two winners will get $50 in BID Bucks and the Grand Prize winner will receive $100 in BID Bucks.
We will be having two Trolleys that will take people down Stiger Street through Main Street and onto Mountain Ave. Restaurants will be bringing their food outside and letting people get a taste of their restaurant style. One of the trolleys will also take part in a scavenger hunt where people can win prizes.

Sidewalk Sale
This year we are promoting a sidewalk sale for all businesses to take part in. All businesses along Main Street have been encouraged to come outside with their best for all to see. Businesses not along Main Street will be given a place in the center of town so they too can take part. Eateries along Main Street will be bringing out samples for all to enjoy.
Trolley Rides
There will be two Trolleys this year taking people from the Spring
Festival at Centenary College down Stiger Street through Main Street and onto Mountain Ave. They will be running from 11am - 6pm. This is a great way to take in all that will be going on in town that day. Park your car in the lots along Main Street... Free Parking!!! Hop on one the Trolleys and go all around town. There will be six stops including one at the Spring Festival. The Trolleys have been proudly sponsored by Hackettstown Regional Medical Center and Skylands Community Bank
Scavenger Hunt
Along with sidewalk sales, we are offering a scavenger hunt for all to participate in. It will take place along the Business Corridor. Each participant on the trolley will have a sheet of paper explaining what they have to find. The winner of the Scavenger Hunt will win a $100 BID Buck prize.
Live Entertainment
If all that wasn't enough, we are going to inundate the town with Live Entertainment. We have two rock bands playing at Hackettstown Ford and at 78 Main Street Plaza. We have the Hackettstown Community Band performing at Home Towne Hardware, along with performances by the Hackettstown High School Chorus and Jazz Bands. Individual businesses are getting in on the act too... Marty's Reliable Cycle will be having a bike demonstration and Party Time Party Supply will be doing face painting and free balloons for the kids.
Multicultural Fun
We have once again teamed up with Trinity United Methodist Church to help make this event as successful as last year. They will be holding multicultural events on their front lawn and at the Gazebo on Main Street. Their events include storytelling, classic ballroom demonstration, a performance by the Dover UMC Praise Band, heritage quilt project, and much more
